Graffiti artist, photographer and visual documentarian
The practice.
Ivo Kosanović, known as Smack, is a Croatian graffiti artist and photographer whose work brings together painting, urban exploration and visual documentation. Emerging from graffiti culture as a member of the YCP crew, he has photographed artists, walls, cities and the environments in which urban art develops. With his brother Slaven Kosanović, known as Lunar, he presented the photographic exhibition 400, documenting their travels and shared artistic experiences. Smack contributed extensively to Lunar’s 2019 book From Zagreb With Love and participated in Lens, Pens & Cans at the Zagreb City Museum in 2025. His own graffiti practice and photographic archive reflect a close understanding of the communities he documents.

EDITION 001 STORY.
Bremen 2026
Smack has two creative roles in Bremen 2026. He contributes ten original 60 × 60 cm paintings as a participating artist and is involved in photographing the project and developing its accompanying book. His work helps preserve not only the completed paintings, but also the artists, encounters and creative processes behind them.
